1886. Mary and Tom are two Irish orphans who have emigrated to America to join their uncle. On the train to California is Nick, a wheelchair-bound boy with cerebral palsy. An illness that keeps him isolated from the world. But Mary senses the same desires in Nick’s heart as in hers. So why not treat him like a friend? Lost in the green pastures of the West due to an accident, Mary, Tom and Nick join forces in a great adventure that will bring out the best in each of them to care for the others.
